Official John is Gone iPhone App.

Born in 2005, the John is Gone project emerged on the Engineering Faculty of the Oporto University, where all the elements studied. After some gigs in Oporto, hometown of the project, John is Gone advance for a period of studio, where they dedicated themselves to writing and recording an EP in early 2007, at the studio of Mário Pereira.

The rest of the year is dedicated to the presentation of the EP.
Traveled since 2005 part of the country, opening acts for Blasted Mechanism, Slimmy, etc..
Also presented in Hungary, participating at an international music festival.

This experience allowed John is Gone to achieve victory in the contest Rock Rendez Worten 2008. Against more than 1,600 bands, JIG managed to win 3 awards: Best Pop, Best Pop; and the big Prize of Revelation Band.

In order to certify credibly and the quality of participants, the RRW joined to the vote of the public, the opinion of the godparents Manuela Azevedo (Clã), Fernando Ribeiro (Moonspell) and The Gift, and also a panel jury composed by Alexander Cortez, who programs the Music Box, Nelson Cunha, director of programs at Mega FM and Miguel Cadete, director of the Blitz magazine.

That made possible to record the first John is Gone studio album: Paper Cuts and Heartbeats. Recorded at Boom Studios (of Pedro Abrunhosa), was produced entirely by Mario Pereira, who has broad curriculum in the shares in the recent album by Mafalda Veiga, Jorge Palma, Klepht, etc..

Worten (owner of RRW) has made a huge media coverage on JIG project, from commercials on TV and radio announcing the album, several publications in newspapers and naming us as well as the competition Godfathers Rock Rendez Worten of pop music.

After the release of "Papercuts and Heart Beats", between 2009 and 2010, John is Gone walked by the Portuguese main stages, like Optimus Alive, Sudoeste Festival, Marés Vivas Festival, Queima das Fitas (Oporto e Coimbra).

At the moment, JIG are producing the second studio album …
